Five Reasons to Give Birth Naked.  Why, you ask? Here are five really good reasons:

1. You get very hot during labor. Your body is working pretty damn hard to get the baby out! You are of course cooler when you naked!

2. It makes for a better bonding experience with the baby. You can have immediate skin on skin contact with your new baby - you may even start breast feeding her right away! No clothing to get in the way!

3. Birth is a natural event and nude is your natural state. Be yourself and be free. No constricting clothes!

4. It allows you to have more intimacy and skin on skin contact with your partner. You are giving birth together - experience it skin on skin!

5. It’s simply more comfortable.

Of course how you birth is your choice and there is no wrong choice! This is just my opinion if something that works well for me. If you are having a homebirth - or even a birthing center birth - give it some thought!
